Denison named a ‘dream school’ in new best-selling book
Best-selling author Jeffrey Selingo spotlighted Denison as one of just 75 colleges doing higher education right. He praises our emphasis on career readiness, meaningful relationships, and data analysis across a liberal arts construct, demonstrating what he defines as a “hidden value.” Learn more about the factors that play into Denison being named a dream school.
Happy memories come to life at Big Red Weekend
The joy was palpable as more than 700 alums and friends returned to campus for Big Red Weekend, the college's annual homecoming celebration. Young alumni were honored for early accomplishments, athletic excellence was celebrated at the Varsity D Hall of Fame induction, and friendships were renewed as Denisonians found opportunities to revisit activities they enjoyed the most.
Big Red Career Expo draws big brands, bigger turnout
Denison’s third Big Red Career Expo, designed to connect students with the nation’s top employers and graduate schools, was its biggest yet. More than 50 employers were in attendance, including Google, Warner Bros., Bank of America, and others. Learn more about the Big Red Career Expo and send a message to career@denison.edu if you would like to be part of the next event.
Campaign Celebration — Denison in New York
We are launching the most ambitious campaign in Denison’s history — expanding opportunity, elevating learning, and launching students quickly and successfully into their lives and careers. In November, we are particularly excited to host our first regional campaign event in New York City! Keep an eye out for additional celebrations planned for more cities across the country, with more details to be shared in the months ahead.
Tuesday, Nov. 18 | 6-8 p.m. at NASDAQ in Times Square
We’re hosting Welcome to the City events across the country to help newly graduated or recently relocated Denisonians feel more at home in their new city, and we need our long-standing residents to help them feel welcome! These fun, casual events are designed to help all Denisonians find more connections in their city.
If you are active on social media, we invite you to follow these accounts and share, comment, and interact with this content to help us expand our reach to Denisonians everywhere!
Save the date for 1831 Day!
Each year, we celebrate Denison’s founding on Dec. 13, 1831. We hope you will save the date to celebrate 194 life-shaping years of “the home we love so well!”
Want to make an even bigger impact on 1831 Day? Volunteer as an ambassador! 1831 Day Ambassadors are integral to our celebration, encouraging fellow Denisonians to make their gift in support of student success.
If you are interested in volunteering as an 1831 Day Ambassador, please email Amanda Morrison, senior associate director of strategic philanthropic support, at morrisona@denison.edu.
