Denison sets new fundraising record in 2025

Thanks to the generous support of more than 8,100 Denisonians, Denison University has set a new fundraising record for the third consecutive year. Gifts of all sizes contributed to this new record, including $5,000 from the Class of 2025 and more than $800,000 made from individual contributions under $1,000. Learn more about the transformative projects and initiatives that were made possible this year thanks to the power of philanthropy.

Denison rolls out new turf for football and field hockey

Over the summer, the university installed new synthetic turf at Deeds Field-Piper Stadium. The turf, including the shock padding, matches that of the recently opened Kienzle-Hylbert Stadium, ensuring that no matter where students train, they will be prepared for game day. Free Kaplan test prep for students and recent alums

A photo of Denison students engaging with a staff member.

Students and alums within five years of graduation now have free access to Kaplan’s full suite of test prep courses, including the GRE®, GMAT®, LSAT®, and MCAT®, thanks to the generosity of Life Trustee Steve Matteucci ’78. These courses, along with other professional certifications, are designed to strengthen career readiness and boost marketability in a competitive job market.

You can log in to the Kaplan portal using your Denison email address. If you no longer have access to your Denison email account, you can request access using your personal email address. Read more about this new partnership and the impact the pilot program has already had on recent grads.

For these Denison students, summer research is just the tick(et)

A few Denison students spent their summer scouring the Bio Reserve and other county parks for ticks, as part of a new partnership with the Licking County Health Department. Read more about what the student researchers are reporting back to the county health department in an effort to fight Lyme disease.
